Elephants are one of the most loving creatures. A constant reminder that you can be strong and gentle at the same time. Elephants take care of their babies and are an epitome of mother’s love. Did you know, baby elephants are raised in matriarchal female groups? The female elephants in the herd take care of the baby elephants and it is called mothering or nannying. How beautiful is that practice!

The painting has minimum details and the attempt is here to evoke the emotion of mother’s love rather than the detailed realistic portrayal of elephants. I adore elephants and they are my muse for many of my paintings.
